1. Write it yourself
Posts and replies should be your own words from your own work. Don't paste answers from ChatGPT or other AI tools. Short and plain beats long and polished. Spelling doesn't matter; English or French is fine.
2. No adverts
No selling, no "DM me for a quote", no phone numbers, emails or links to your business. Offer services and materials in Marketplace, list your company in Business Hub, post vacancies in Jobs. Links to ArtBuild, government, code and safety sites are fine.
3. Respect the trade
Disagree with the advice, not the person. No insults, no harassment, nothing discriminatory.
4. Safety first
Advice that could hurt someone (live electrical work, structural shortcuts, skipping permits) will be removed. When in doubt, say "check with your inspector or a licensed pro".
5. Photos
Show the work. Avoid faces, house numbers, licence plates and documents. Location data is removed from every photo automatically.

Deleted posts still count toward the day's limit.
How moderation works
Most posts appear straight away. A post waits for a quick human check when it has contact details, an outside link, sounds like an advert, was pasted in rather than typed, or reads like AI text. Nothing is rejected by a machine: a person decides. Anything reported by 3 members is hidden until a moderator looks.
Breaking the rules: the first time is a warning, the second pauses your posting for 7 days, the third closes posting in Community for your account.
Your posts are yours
You can edit or delete your own post, and delete your own reply, at any time. Deleting a post also removes its replies, photos and poll. An edited post is checked again the same way as a new one.
Emails
When someone replies in a discussion you started or joined, we email you (at most once per discussion every few hours). Every email has a link to stop them.
Best answer of the week
Each week, the reply members marked 👍 Helpful most often (at least 3 times) is shown as the best answer of the week.
